Chef de Partie

Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa is set in 27 acres of established grounds boasting kitchen gardens, orchard and trout fishing. Our award winning Mulberry restaurant, overlooking the sun terrace, conservatory and lawns provides a modern, light and spacious dining experience with a variety of menus to suit individual tastes.

 

ABOUT YOU..
We are looking to achieve 2 rosettes this year, if you feel you can contribute your skills and love for food to achieve this then do not delay in applying..

You will be joining an established and highly successful team.
You will be passionate about working with the finest, freshest ingredients and in delivering quality dishes and products.
You will be expected to actively assist in the running of the Kitchen on a day-to-day basis which will necessitate the delivery of consistent food products in-line with agreed recipes and standards of all menu items.
You will be an exceptional team player with excellent communication skills

 

HOURS OF WORK AND PAY
This is a full time permanent position working minimum of 48 hours a week 5 days out of 7.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
A proven track record within a similar hotel environment
Intermediate Food Hygiene desirable
Food Production and Cooking or Professional Cookery or equivalent qualification
Knowledge of the relevant Hygiene, Health & Safety guidelines
A good level of English

Hotel Porter

Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa are looking for a Hotel Porter to join our busy professional team where you will be part of a close-knit, quality-focused team, committed to offering the highest standards of service to our guests.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will offer support to the reception, and Food & Beverage teams in line with set daily procedures. You will also assist guests to bedrooms upon check-in whilst highlighting the range of hotel services available in order for guests to receive the highest service levels expected of a luxury Country House Hotel. You will support in greeting guests attending for events, supporting the food and beverage service, and up-selling hotel products at appropriate times.

 

ABOUT YOU
You will have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and able to deliver high quality service to our hotel guests.

 

HOURS OF WORK
This is a hands on position working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis, on a 5 out of 7 day rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Kitchen Porter

Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen brigade where you will be part of a close-knit, quality-focused F & B team. Maintaining standards of food & beverage quality, service and hygiene and ensuring that guests are provided with an efficient, friendly and courteous service.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE
You would need to ensure the Kitchen area is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard at all times. You will be cleaning all kitchen utensils, and equipment, ensuring items are ready and available for our chef team to use. Other key duties include cleaning floors, counter areas, emptying bins and complying with current Health & Safety legislation.

ABOUT YOU
Experience within a busy kitchen environment is desirable but not essential. You will be able to work as part of a team with good communication skills.

HOURS OF WORK
This is a hands on position working on a casual ‘ as and when required’ basis, to support a 7 day rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Housekeeper

We are currently looking for a Housekeeper to join our busy team.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Housekeepers provide a clean, safe and correctly presented section to the highest of standards, which includes bedrooms, linen cupboards and public areas. You will prioritise guests needs and provide a fast, easy and accurate service.

 

ABOUT YOU
Our ideal candidate will have an excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation, with the ability to interact with guests and the willingness to go the extra mile. You will take an organised approach to your role and prioritise effectively to ensure the smooth running of the Department, being a strong team player.

 

HOURS OF WORK AND PAY
This position is available on a permanent contract, working 18 hours per week on a 7 day rota including weekends and bank holidays.

Reception Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Reception Supervisor with excellent customer service skills to join an already established and highly successful team.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will support the smooth daily operation of the hotel reception, forming strong working relationships with department managers to provide excellent service. Key duties include ensuring a warm, professional welcome is given to each and every guest, facilitating smooth check-in and check-out processes, processing guest bills efficiently and accurately, dealing with all enquiries, and undertaking any administration required by the Reception Manager. You will monitor the hotel switchboard, ensuring calls are answered and relayed in a helpful and professional manner.

ABOUT YOU
You will be confident and professional, engaging with our guests, and have a willingness to go the extra mile. You will have strong organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively to ensure the smooth running of the Reception. You will also be an exceptional team player with excellent communication skills, with attention to detail to deliver outstanding customer service.

 

HOURS OF WORK AND PAY
This is a full time permanent position working a minimum of 40 hours a week on a 5 days out of 7 day rota basis, including evenings and weekends.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the reception team you will be responsible for welcoming resident and non-resident guests to the hotel. You will carry out check in and check outs, maintain the switchboard, handle accommodation, restaurant bookings and payments, and will be advising guests of hotel and local facilities and services.

 

ABOUT YOU
You will be a motivated and enthusiastic with high levels of customer service and good communication skills.
The ability to interact with guests and the willingness to go that extra step
You will take an organised approach to your role and prioritise effectively to ensure the smooth running of the Reception

Spa Assistant

We are looking for a Spa Assistant to join our busy Spa team. As a key member of the Halcyon Spa team you will provide a warm greeting to all spa members and to maintain the established benchmark of excellence throughout the spa facilities. You would also support the spa reception desk and assist in the daily / monthly bookings when required. Key duties include the cleaning of all spa areas to a quality standard, and completing cleaning check lists on a daily basis.

HOURS OF WORK
This is a permanent position working 32 hours per week on a 4 out of 7 day rota basis.
