Bishopstrow’s newly appointed Head Chef, Ben Streak began his career in England at The Old Manor House, Romsey, 14 years ago, a three rosette restaurant where he progressed to Head Chef. Ben move to the Le Poussin at Park Hill, a Michelin Stared restaurant. He spent his formative years in South Africa where is studied Hotel Management.
More recently Ben headed the kitchen at Summer Lodge, an award winning country house hotel in Dorset.
At Bishopstrow, Ben’s modern English cooking with classic touches, sourcing mostly local ingredients to showcase the South West’s produce, he plans to make the most of Bishopstrow’s very own fruit and vegetable gardens.
He maintains Bishopstrow’s English Country House feel with exciting innovative modern cooking whilst maintaining seasonality and drawing on his experiences abroad. Ben’s philosophy is to ‘take it back to basics using hands on, modern cooking techniques.’
