Bedrooms at Bishopstrow House are as characterful as the public rooms. Each of the 32 rooms has its own very distinct personality from the luxurious country house opulence of the Oval Room (featured opposite) in the main house to the understated elegance of the Longleat Room. The Dorchester Room is equally impressive, but has a completely different character, with deep terracotta red walls.
The garden wing rooms are all delightfully spacious and airy and also enjoy direct access on to the grounds. If you really want to spread yourself about, try one of our large courtyard suites. The Shaftesbury Suite, for example, has a downstairs sitting room that has a light, summery quality and a spacious bedroom and bathroom with roll top bath and double shower. In The Weymouth Suite and The Shaftesbury Suite, there's even Ipod docking stations with speakers in the bedroom and bathroom, not forgetting televisions in the bathrooms.
All the rooms at Bishopstrow House are beautifully furnished and decorated, with designer wallpaper and fabrics, antique furniture and fine paintings. All have satellite TV and top quality audio entertainment systems. Flowers, fresh fruit and home-made biscuits add the final welcoming touches.
Bishopstrow House is the ideal location for a family break. Mum’s and Dad’s can enjoy the wonderful surroundings, fabulous spa treatments and fine cuisine and the little ones can enjoy high tea’s, a dip in the pool, a trip to nearby Longleat House and Safari Park and will even receive a complimentary ‘box of gifts’ to take away with them, including a fantastic selection of toys, books and even some seeds to plant when they return home.
